Hillsborough commissioners authorize groundwater compliance work, approve vouchers

The Town of Hillsborough Water & Sewer Commission on Feb. 24 authorized an engineering services request and handled routine financial approvals.
Commissioners Dave Lewis and Dana Clow reviewed and authorized Underwood Engineers’ Engineering Services Request (ESR) 59 for 2026 groundwater permit compliance in the amount of $26,350, Administrator Penny Griffin said. The commission also reviewed and authorized accounts payable vouchers that included 2025 AP Voucher #4A for $171.27 and 2026 AP Voucher #4 totaling $17,925.24 (water) and $22,131.04 (sewer). The commission reviewed a sewer abatement (S2026 1A) for 188 West Main Street that had been approved at the Feb. 12, 2026 meeting.
Commissioner Dave Lewis moved to adjourn the meeting; Commissioner Dana Clow seconded, and both voted in favor. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
Next steps: the commission will continue discussion of outstanding operational items, including equipment repairs and maintenance costs, at a future meeting.
