Tioga commission approves about $1.01 million in contractor payments for roads and community center

After discussion about liquidated damages tied to the project’s substantial completion date, the commission approved pay application #1 in the amount of $148,795.80. The motion was made by Commissioner Jaden Iverson and seconded by Commissioner Steven Dye; the roll call as recorded lists Ayes: Iverson, Dye.
Reiner also presented a final payment request from Crow River for the 3rd Street NW/N Hanson construction project; the commission approved final pay application #6 for $153,973.68 (motion Iverson; second Dye; roll call recorded as Ayes: Iverson, Dye). The commission then approved pay application #4 for Crow River on the N Main Street project in the amount of $43,981.31 (motion Iverson; second Dye; roll call recorded as Ayes: Iverson, Dye).
The commission also heard an update on the community center expansion from David Sting of FCI Constructors and Burton Youngs of EAPC. Application for payment #3 for FCI Constructors, totaling $659,453.40, was presented and approved (motion Iverson; second Dye; roll call recorded as Ayes: Iverson, Dye).
Combined, the approved payments reported in the minutes total approximately $1,006,204.19. The minutes record each motion’s mover and seconder as Iverson and Dye, respectively, and list the roll-call results as Ayes: Iverson, Dye. The minutes do not list votes for other named attendees for these recorded roll calls; the document also records an inconsistency later in the adjournment entry (it lists Jessica Sandberg as absent in the attendance yet records her as moving the adjournment).
