Doraville — The City Council unanimously approved an amendment to the special‑events permit ordinance on July 8 to make the code match the fee schedule adopted during the budget process.
Director of Finance China told council the ordinance still listed the special‑events permit at $25 while the budget adopted a $100 fee; she asked council to waive first reading and adopt the ordinance change to reconcile the code with the fee schedule. Council members moved, seconded and approved waiving first reading and adopting the amendment by roll call vote.
The council’s vote was recorded in favor; no council member voiced opposition during the roll call. Staff said the change is intended to codify the budgeted fee and clarify administrative application of the fee schedule.
