Town representatives told the Beaverdam board on Jan. 14 that a contract for the sale of the Shaw Hill Bridge is expected soon.
Terry Beckman reported he is in contact with consultant Lars regarding Union Pacific and said the town should be receiving the contract shortly; Beckman also said the Department of Transportation is involved in the matter. No contract text or sale terms were presented at the meeting and no final action was recorded.
The bridge update was presented as part of old business; board members did not take a vote or make a binding decision on the bridge sale during this session. The town will await delivery of the contract and any required review before the board acts further.
