Hillsborough Planning Board vice chair Nancy Egner to resign; board seeks alternates

Vice Chair Nancy Egner told the Hillsborough Planning Board on May 7 that she will tender her resignation because she is moving out of town. Egner’s announcement was made during Other Business at the board’s regular meeting.
Planning Director Robyn Payson said that alternate Kim Opperman could step into Egner’s position but that the board will need additional alternates. Payson also briefed the board on activity she expects to come to town and raised a legislative item she has been tracking: she said the state Legislature is looking at a bill that would prevent towns from requiring more than one parking space per residential unit, but she did not know the bill’s current status.
Board member Dana Clow urged the board to adopt local parking requirements this year in response to the potential state change. No formal action on Egner’s resignation or on parking policy was recorded in the minutes; the board proceeded to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m.
