BPS Foundation and donors award 32 scholarships and launch Miss B memorial fund

Bismarck, N.D. — The Bismarck Public Schools Foundation and donors celebrated 32 scholarship recipients at the school board meeting May 29, honoring graduates from across the district and announcing a new memorial award.
"It's a huge honor to do this and award 32 different awardees tonight," Rick Jeloff, president of the BPS Foundation, told the board and audience. He and foundation director Talia Nygaard presented the recipients by name and noted donors who underwrite named scholarships.
The foundation introduced a new Miss B Memorial Scholarship, funded by the Meyer family, that will award $1,000 annually to a Century High School senior who reflects perseverance and kindness. The district and foundation invited awardees, donors and board members to a reception at Starion Bank following the meeting.
