Eric said staff expect the sustainability commission's $20,000 allocation to cover initial development, and that future maintenance/hosting could be placed in the IT budget.
Nancy spoke in favor of keeping initial funding tied to the sustainability commission’s allocation to preserve transparency about where the money originates and how it will be used. Committee members asked whether the contract needs board approval; staff said the item must go to the board and could be placed on the consent agenda.
The committee approved forwarding the KLA contract request to the Board of Aldermen; staff said the contract likely would not be ready for the June board meeting but will be presented for July’s consent agenda if completed.
