Trustees approve 2026–2027 license renewals and a honeybee permit
Summary

At its June 22 meeting, the Village of Cross Plains Board of Trustees approved renewal of several license classes for the 2026–2027 licensing period, and separately approved a Honeybee permit for 3014 Chase Circle.
Trustees took sequential votes to renew cigarette and tobacco retail licenses, Class A intoxicating liquor and Class A fermented malt-beverage licenses, Class B and C liquor/fermented malt beverage licenses, and operator licenses. Each motion was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
President Blankfeud pulled the Honeybee application for discussion after receiving neighbor letters invoking private covenants. He told trustees the village does not enforce neighborhood covenants and that such disputes are matters for the neighborhood association or private enforcement. The board then voted to approve the Honeybee license for 3014 Chase Circle.
The licenses approved will run from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. No appeals or enforcement actions were recorded at the meeting.
