Commissioners reviewed plan sheets describing additions attached to an existing shed, installation of a bar-top counter, construction of a new 12-by-14-foot shed, and lattice fencing proposed around an HVAC unit, all described in the application as located within the commission’s review area. After a brief discussion, commissioners determined that the proposed work would not occur in a wetland or watercourse and that impacts were likely to be minimal.
Commissioner Merialis Lewis made a motion to have the inland-wetlands agent approve the application administratively; Commissioner Steve Cohen seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The commission recorded no additional conditions or required onsite mitigation in the minutes.
The administrative-approval route means the commission’s agent will complete the technical review and, if the application conforms to applicable regulations, issue approval without returning to the full commission for a formal permit hearing.
