The Tioga City Commission approved the citys 2025 preliminary budget at its July 15 meeting and set a public hearing for 6 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2024.
Commissioner Jaden Iverson moved to approve the preliminary budget; the motion passed with Commissioners Jessica Sandberg and Steven Dye joining in the affirmative. Sandberg moved that the commission hold the formal public hearing at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16; the motion carried.
At the same meeting the commission scheduled a special election for Dec. 10, 2024, designated Tioga City Hall as the polling place, and approved paying special-election workers $400 each for up to eight employees. Those motions were made and carried by members present.
The minutes do not include detailed line-item changes to the preliminary budget; they record only the formal approval of the preliminary budget and the public hearing date. The hearing will be the public opportunity for residents to comment on the proposed 2025 budget before adoption.
