The Hillsborough Board of Selectmen on July 23 voted to support a Community Development Block Grant application for the second building at Hillsborough Heights.
Town Administrator Laura Buono told the board the Selectmen had previously endorsed a CDBG application for the first 42-unit building and that the developer is now applying for funding for a second building. Chairman James C. Bailey moved to support the CDBG request for Hillsborough Heights Phase II; Selectman Richard Pelletier seconded the motion and it passed.
The board’s endorsement is a statement of support for the grant application and does not itself commit town capital; Ms. Buono said the survey and engineering work needed for related planning may be required for grant applications and project permitting.
The decision keeps the town aligned with the developer’s phased application for additional residential units under the CDBG program.
