Taylor council raises trash fees and approves February finances

The council also approved the February financial report and routine bills. Minutes list payments across general, water, sewer and garbage funds, including payroll, utilities and vendor invoices; notable line items included a Starion Bond Services entry for $46,402.50 and a $5,252.81 payment to SW Water Authority.
The council did not provide detailed justification for the refuse-rate increases on the record; officials moved quickly through the consent and finance items as routine business. The actions are recorded in the minutes and will appear in the city’s published claims and financial documents.
The council set no further immediate rate actions; payments and the financial report were approved by motion of Councilwoman Gjermundson and second of Councilman Sloop.
