Fulton County approves replacement of 20-year-old dispatch clocks; okays regional support and hazmat agreements

Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 23 approved replacement of two dispatch clocks for the EMA/911 center, authorized a fully grant-funded regional support contract, and approved a two-year hazmat agreement.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board the dispatch clocks are more than 20 years old and in "dire need of replacement." Barton said "Pre Alert" is in place and that the information has been sent out to the fire departments, and he provided an update on trainings completed and those planned. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to accept a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, totaling $4,940.00; the motion carried "All in favor."
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; the contract was described in the minutes as fully grant funded and the motion carried. Commissioner Bunch moved to approve a two-year Hazmat Team Agreement with McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc., with payment amounts of $2,500 for fiscal year 2026 and $7,500 for fiscal year 2027; that motion carried "All in favor."
The meeting record does not include additional implementation dates or procurement contract numbers for the Mission Critical Partners contract beyond the board's authorization to execute the agreement.
