Director John Gilchrist also provided preliminary details about potential locations and costs for a solar field, saying the district could time construction to take advantage of current rebates and discounts. The board discussed the need to prioritize projects and present options to the architect/engineer GMB for design review.
Board members requested a specific timeline tied to a February election and asked that the district present a design budget in September. The board plans conversations with coaches in August to collect feedback; three members (Robinson, Courtade and Gustinis) plan to attend upcoming meetings with GMB and requested meeting minutes and documents be circulated to the full board.
