Officials also reported the borough has advertised replacement of the channeling wall at the wastewater‑treatment plant; the advertisement ran in the Mon Valley Independent and bids were scheduled to be opened Oct. 18, with the project to be awarded on Nov. 19. Edge AI is televising 22 miles of sewer lines; the contractor has encountered a 10‑foot section of crushed pipe and access problems at some manholes. The televising work was described as a borough project estimated at $290,400.
