The motion described the work as designed by Woodard & Curran and constructed by Sunshine Paving; Woodard & Curran certified satisfactory performance. The vote approved acceptance of the settlement work itself; staff and commissioners said final acceptance of infrastructure ownership and final billing would await outstanding invoices and clarification (staff explicitly said the vote did not transfer ownership of infrastructure at this meeting).
Equipment and operational approvals: Staff presented a budgeted quote for a spare flight pump priced at about $31,000 (approximately $33,000 with freight) and asked for authorization to order to maintain redundancy at pump stations. Commissioners approved proceeding with the purchase as budgeted.
Administrative items: The commission approved the June 11 minutes, reviewed bills and discussed postage and petty-cash logistics for certified mail. Staff also reported that Weston & Sampson will perform meter-pit inspections and meter calibrations soon under a new contract with the pump-station contractor.
