Mills County approves multiple alcohol licenses, a tobacco permit and a parade street closing; one supervisor abstains on some licenses

Motions approved included a five-day special Class C Retail Alcohol License for Hillsdale Lily Farm (effective July 22–26, 2026), an eight-month Class C Retail Alcohol License for Rancho 29 (effective July 1, 2026–Feb. 28, 2027), and renewal of Tobey Jacks’s Class C Retail Alcohol License (Aug. 10, 2026–Aug. 9, 2027). On those alcohol-license motions Supervisor Jack Sayers recorded an abstention on votes where noted; the minutes list Ayes-2, Nays-0, Abstain-1 (Sayers) for several motions.
The board also approved a tobacco permit for Love’s Travel Stop #704 (57964 188th St., PJ), effective July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027, and voted to authorize a street closing for a parade on July 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The board unanimously authorized Chair Richard Crouch to sign a proclamation supporting the United States Semi‑Sesquicentennial.
