Karen Seipold told the board that more information was needed before taking the matter to voters and asked the board to consider placing a cap on any related solar ordinance.
The board did not take a final vote on an ordinance or resolution; instead, members voted to table Resolution 26-25 pending further legal review by the county attorney’s office. The public comments and the request for additional information were the primary reasons cited by supervisors for delaying action.
Next steps: The resolution will remain on hold while the county attorney reviews legal, procedural and ballot-language issues. No date was set for when the matter will return to the board.
