Marinette council approves multiple infrastructure bids, contracts, licenses and a summer concert booking

Town & Country Tree Service won two city contracts: $6,777.72 for tree removal on University Drive and $48,028.06 for city‑wide tree removal and stump grinding; the latter included a budget amendment to rely on full‑time Department of Public Works staff.
On non‑construction items, the council approved a contract with Marinette County for server room hosting and carried over $30,000 in capital funds to upgrade licensing software and servers. It granted advance authorization for the city treasurer to pay February 2026 expenditures contingent on committee approval and approved the December 2025 budget reports.
The council approved event and licensing requests connected to Red Brick Tavern LLC — an alcohol license premises extension and a street‑use permit for a March 7 event at 801 Main St. — and granted eight new operator licenses contingent on completion of a state‑approved Responsible Beverage Server class. It also approved an appointment of a successor agent for Kwik Trip 574.
Council members approved an agreement with Booking House Inc., f/s/o Hotel California (the Original Eagles Tribute Band) to perform on Stephenson Island on Friday, July 10; the motion passed 9–0.
