Council authorizes mayor to sign Timbers litigation settlement after executive session

Mayor Bell opened the executive-session item by saying the session related to resolution of Timbers litigation and noted that ordinance changes previously approved reflected a settlement the parties had agreed to. After the closed session, council moved and approved authorization for the mayor to execute the agreement on the town's behalf.
The council provided no further details about settlement terms during the public session. The vote authorizing the mayor to sign the agreement was recorded as passed on Jan. 7, 2025.
