Staff summarized the three requests: Ordinance 26‑013 would rezone 415 South 1st Street from R‑2 (medium‑density residential) to B‑3 (service commercial); Ordinance 26‑014 would rezone 1100 South 11th Street from R‑2 to B‑2 (service commercial); and Ordinance 26‑015 would rezone 931 South A Street from R‑2 to B‑2 to provide additional employee parking for Complete Auto Parts. The plan commission held hearings, had a quorum (six of eight members) and voted to recommend approval; staff reported no public opposition at the plan commission hearing.
Council moved to follow the plan commission’s fact‑finding for all three ordinances and the motion carried on roll call.
