The Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Committee met March 3, 2026, in Room 372 of the Health & Human Services Building. Chairperson Curt Brauer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. and confirmed compliance with the open meeting law.
The committee heard the Department Head Report from Health & Human Services Director Matthew Strittmater and a Public Health Manager summary presented by Health Officer and Deputy Director Starrlene Grossman. Both reports were presented as summaries of departmental activity; the committee did not take action on those items because no separate agenda item required it.
Youth Justice Intake Supervisor Brian Ognacevic and Juvenile Court Ongoing Supervisor Jessica Bitter presented a briefing on highest-cost placement profiles, an item listed on the agenda. Accounting Manager Tara Duwe then presented the department’s 2025 year-end financial information and led related discussion. The presentations covered departmental cost drivers and year-end budget figures as presented by staff; the transcript records no motions tied directly to those presentations.
The committee approved routine business items. Supervisor Bill Goehring moved to approve the minutes of Feb. 3, 2026; Supervisor Marilyn Montemayor seconded and the motion carried with no nay votes. The committee later moved to approve vouchers covering Jan. 25–Feb. 8, 2026 and Feb. 9–Feb. 22, 2026; the motion was moved by Supervisor Bill Goehring, seconded by Supervisor Marilyn Montemayor, and approved with no nay votes. Citizen Member Jeanne Kliejunas moved to adjourn; Supervisor Rebecca Clarke seconded and the meeting adjourned at 9:49 a.m.
No members of the public offered comment during the meeting. The committee’s next scheduled meeting is March 17, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
