Mackinac County board approves apportionment, bills and three budget amendments

At its Oct. 21 meeting the Mackinac County Board approved the apportionment report, a temporary transfer for the Survey/Remont fund, regular bills of $78,154.37, additional bills of $40,081.03, and three budget amendments (2025-34, 35, 36); all votes were unanimous.
The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners approved a set of financial items during its Oct. 21, 2025 meeting in St. Ignace.
Commissioner John Kling moved, and Commissioner Austin Kimberling seconded, approval of the apportionment report; roll call was unanimous. Chief Deputy Register of Deeds Michelle Peters requested a temporary transfer of funds from the County General Fund to the Survey/Remont fund; Commissioner Judy St. Louis-Scott moved and Commissioner Kimberling seconded approval of the transfer, which passed by unanimous roll call.
The board reviewed and approved regular bills totaling $78,154.37 and additional bills totaling $40,081.03 on motions by Commissioner Austin Kimberling with second by Commissioner St. Louis-Scott; both passed by unanimous roll call. The board also approved budget amendments #2025-34, #2025-35 and #2025-36 on motions noted in the minutes; roll call votes were unanimous.
Treasurer Tina Massey presented third-quarter financial reports earlier in the meeting; separate from the approvals, the board decided to postpone implementing the proposed BS&A cloud program until 2026 to allow more information to be provided.
