The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County voted unanimously on a slate of routine administrative items at its Sept. 2 meeting.
Actions approved included the reappointment of Martha Burgamy to the Department of Family and Children Services board (motion by Vice Chairman Timothy Biddle, seconded by Commissioner Jason Frost); switching the county retirement plan from Corebridge to ACCG (motion by Commissioner Damon Hoyte, seconded by Vice Chairman Biddle); renewal of the DFACS lease; activation of a Caselle online payment portal; and enrollment in the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) IPAWS alert system. The commission also approved a year‑end budget cleanup amendment proposed by staff.
Chairman Charles Coffey read a second reading of a cemetery ordinance that would allow certain cemetery actions to be handled by policy or resolution; no action was required at the meeting.
