Eufaula board accepts resignations, appoints clerk and approves four personnel actions

The Eufaula Public Schools Board of Education on Dec. 8 accepted the resignation of Brittany Williams, an elementary substitute, appointed Michael Morton as board clerk and approved several personnel hires during open session.
Jeff Pippenger moved to accept Williams’s resignation and to appoint Michael Morton as board clerk; Michael Morton seconded the motion. The roll-call vote recorded Martha Asher, Kenny Bumgarner, Braddock Dobbs, Michael Morton and Jeff Pippenger as voting "Yea." The board later moved to accept the resignation of Brittany Williams; that motion also carried unanimously.
The board approved the employment of Kaden Bumgarner as a special education paraprofessional, Delvina Padgett as elementary cafeteria manager/cook and Danielle Crouch as high school cook. Each hire was made by motion (mover: Jeff Pippenger or Martha Asher; seconds recorded in the minutes) and passed by unanimous roll call.
The personnel items were listed on the agenda under executive-session actions; the transcript notes no executive session occurred and that these actions were taken in open session. The board did not provide salary figures, start dates or funding sources for the hires on the meeting record.
