The Labette County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 26, 2025 approved a bundle of routine administrative items including parcel-search agreements, vehicle repair, technology purchases, payroll and accounts payable checks.
Commissioners authorized Appraiser’s Parcel Search Agreements with Bank of Commerce and SEK Appraisals, LLC; each agreement carried a $225.00 fee that the minutes state has been paid. Commissioners also approved a repair estimate of $2,206.63 for the appraisal truck after Appraiser Melody Kikkert presented the estimate.
The board approved purchase of three computers at $649.00 each, to be paid from the Courthouse fund, the Clerk fund and the Clerk technology fund, and later approved purchase of an HP DesignJet T650 36-inch plotter for the Mapping Department at $2,350.00.
Payroll was approved in the amount of $369,512.00, composed of payroll check numbers 1826–1827 ($4,474.67) and direct deposits 827381–827506 ($365,037.33). The board also approved accounts payable checks 38985–39103 totaling $485,804.62. All motions recorded in the minutes passed unanimously.
Globe Life Insurance representative Brian Barnes met with commissioners to discuss offering ancillary policies to employees; no action was taken. Commissioners discussed Juvenile Justice Authority insurance premium policy and requested that Director Gina Dolechek attend the next meeting to provide additional information.
The meeting included two separate executive-session entries recorded for personnel and attorney-client consultation; both were moved, seconded and approved by unanimous vote. The minutes record a 15-minute attendance window for the executive sessions. The meeting adjourned at 11:59 a.m.
