Labette County commissioners approve payroll, accounts payable and meeting cancellations

The Labette County Board of Commissioners approved several routine financial and scheduling items during its Oct. 31, 2025, session in the Commission Room.
Commissioner Tom Barrett moved to approve the minutes of Oct. 27, 2025; Commissioner Terry Weidert seconded, and the motion passed unanimously, with Tom Barrett, Terry Weidert and Chairman Vincent B. Schibi voting Yes. Chairman Vincent B. Schibi then moved to approve payroll check numbers 1824–1825 in the amount of $4,866.24 and Direct Deposit numbers 827256 through 827421 in the amount of $372,421.36, for a combined payroll total of $377,287.60. Commissioner Terry Weidert seconded; the motion passed by a unanimous vote.
The Board next approved accounts payable check numbers 38784 through 38820 in the amount of $465,866.29 after a motion from Chairman Vincent B. Schibi and a second from Commissioner Tom Barrett; the vote was unanimous.
On a separate motion, Chairman Vincent B. Schibi moved to authorize the chairman’s signature on an agreement with Computer Information Concepts to purchase a signature plate for 2026 check signatures for $300.00. Commissioner Terry Weidert seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Terry Weidert moved to cancel the Nov. 24, Dec. 1 and Dec. 29 meetings; Commissioner Tom Barrett seconded and the motion passed by unanimous vote.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned at 12:32 p.m.; the next regular session is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2025.
