Greenfield Selectboard awards Meeting House painting contract and updates floodplain dates

The Town of Greenfield Selectboard voted unanimously April 1 to award a contract to CertaPro to repaint the Meeting House exterior and to update floodplain-date references in the town’s subdivision regulations.
Chairman Tom Bascom said the Board reviewed a CertaPro quote that was substantially lower than others; on a motion by Bascom, seconded by Selectman Michael Borden, the Board voted 3-0 to proceed and authorized Town Administrator Aaron Patt to sign the contract. The action was recorded as an approved consent/contract item.
Pursuant to RSA 674:57, Bascom moved to update the floodplain regulation dates in the subdivision regulations so the new Flood Insurance Study (FIS) date is 6/10/26 and the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) dates are 9/25/09 and 6/10/26. Selectman George Rainier seconded the motion and the Board approved it 3-0.
Earlier in the evening the Board entered two non-public sessions. Welfare Director Leah Fiasconaro-Conway requested a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3, II(c); the Board voted 3-0 to enter non-public and later voted 3-0 to seal the related minutes under RSA 91-A:3, III to protect the reputation of a resident. Separately, the Town Administrator requested a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3, II(a) and II(c); the Board again voted 3-0 to enter non-public, returned to public session, and voted 3-0 to seal those minutes under RSA 91-A:3, III for personnel-reputation reasons. No votes were taken during the non-public sessions.
The Board also discussed logistics for a potential Meeting House grand opening on May 2 or May 9 and directed the Department of Public Works to install sound-dampening panels in the Community Center. The Selectboard adjourned at 9:11 p.m.
The actions recorded tonight are official as entered in the Selectboard minutes; the Administrator was authorized to sign the painting contract and the floodplain-date updates will be incorporated into the subdivision regulations.
