Lakota Local Schools superintendent launches 3–5 year strategic planning process, cites 1,200+ survey responses

Ashley Whiteley, superintendent of Lakota Local Schools, said the district is launching a strategic planning process intended to produce a roadmap of goals, objectives, actions and outcomes for the next three to five years. "I'm super excited because we are launching our strategic planning process," Whiteley said.
Whiteley said the district recently conducted a survey and that "over 1,200 people" responded. "Your input and feedback is so valuable as we continue this process," she said, adding that the district will combine the survey results with "a myriad of data points" collected over the past two years to inform the plan.
The superintendent said the district has formed a strategic planning steering team of "approximately 50 people," which she said will meet next week to begin crafting a draft. "After the team has created a draft, we will seek various stakeholder feedback and input so that we can refine and perfect our next road map," Whiteley said.
Whiteley said the district hopes to offer staff a sneak peek of the draft at convocation and then secure board approval by September. She described the process as a partnership with the community: "We are looking forward to building our future together with you, our community."
