Valley County adopts winter snowmobile parking ordinance, fees effective Dec. 15

Recreation Director Dave Bingaman presented the ordinance and the commissioners voted to adopt it; the rules and fees will go into effect Dec. 15, 2025.
The ordinance establishes designated winter parking sites for snowmobiles on county-managed lands and sets the fee structure for those sites. The resolution was presented as an action item; the board approved it by motion with no recorded dissent in the meeting minutes.
Implementation of the ordinance and collection of fees will be managed by the Valley County Parks and Recreation Department. Staff were not asked to return with additional amendments at this meeting.
