Valley County commissioners voted Nov. 24 to approve Fiscal Year 2026 claims totaling $553,901.93, Senior Deputy Auditor Robyn Elliott told the board during the meeting in Cascade.
Elliott presented a fund-by-fund breakdown that included $124,614.12 from the General Fund, $63,041.84 from Road & Bridge, $298,549.90 from Solid Waste and $38,559.35 from the American Rescue Plan Fund. Smaller amounts were listed for District Court, Election Consolidation, Revaluation, Weeds, PILT and other county funds. Chairman Sherry Maupin moved to approve the claims and the motion passed with commissioners recording “all in favor.”
The board asked Elliott questions about remaining fund balances and specific line items; Elliott responded with clarifications during the presentation. No individual roll-call vote was recorded in the minutes beyond the board’s unanimous approval.
The approval authorizes county staff to process the listed disbursements and continue normal operations under the adopted FY2026 spending plan.
