Rocky Knoll foundation tables VibeTech purchase; counsel to draft dissolution resolution

The Rocky Knoll Health Care Center Foundation met Feb. 24, 2025, in the administration conference room at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth and handled routine business while tabling a request for new therapy equipment and directing counsel to prepare materials on a possible dissolution.
Chairperson Charlie Conrardy called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. and certified compliance with the Open Meeting Law. The board approved the minutes of the Nov. 11, 2024 meeting on a motion by Marylin Montemeyor, seconded by Dale Pauls; the motion carried. Katie Atkinson, Rocky Knoll staff accountant, then presented the Statement of Financial Position, which the board approved on a motion by Marylin Montemeyor, seconded by Jackie Veldman.
The board reviewed outreach made in November 2024 to local businesses seeking funds for an updated VibeTech machine for Rocky Knoll residents; the minutes record that the letter produced no responses. The foundation discussed the option of funding the purchase directly. Rocky Knoll Administrator Kayla Clinton said she will meet with center departments to identify resident needs and will approach VibeTech about a possible price reduction. On a motion by Jackie Veldman, seconded by Marylin Montemeyor, the board tabled the issue for further consideration at the next meeting.
Board members also discussed the possible dissolution of the Sheboygan County Health Care Foundation. The minutes state that Corporation Counsel will provide additional information and a resolution to dissolve the foundation for consideration at the next meeting.
Dale Pauls moved to adjourn; Marylin Montemeyor seconded and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 2:50 p.m. The foundation’s next meeting is scheduled for April 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
