Goracke reported completion of a webinar tied to the city’s CDBG DTR improvement project and said Turnbull Tire has begun construction on a new facility and that demolition at the site is complete. He said Niocorp construction is expected to begin in February or March 2026.
On utilities, Goracke reported scheduled training for a new cooling system at the plant that will require programming changes, noted UV bulbs were returned for reimbursement, and said the city has prepared a scope and invitation to bid for a building project. He also said staff are working on water options related to the Niocorp project.
