On Feb. 11, 2025, the Sheboygan County Property Committee approved a Use Agreement and a memorandum of understanding between Lakeshore Technical College and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay’s Sheboygan campus.
The agreement and MOU were presented to the committee and debated briefly. Supervisor John Nelson moved to approve the documents, Supervisor Brian Smith seconded, and the motion carried 3–1. Supervisor Gerald Jorgensen cast the sole No vote; the minutes do not record the reasons for his dissent.
The items were presented as part of a campus partnership update; representatives listed as present included staff from Lakeshore Technical College and UW–Green Bay’s Sheboygan campus. The committee did not record additional conditions or amendments to the Use Agreement in its minutes.
The approval allows the two institutions to proceed under the terms of the Use Agreement and MOU as described to the committee. The committee did not attach a separate funding commitment or implementation timeline in the minutes. The Property Committee’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2025.
