The Town of Greenwood’s treasurer reported detailed December financials at the Jan. 20 meeting, saying total cash on hand at the end of December was $1,977,651.32 and year-to-date income (July–Dec) exceeded expenditures by $727,509.02.
Reading the treasurer’s report, the staff member (speaker 4) listed fund balances: general fund $664,668.99; capital fund $235,272.33; a PNC money market $349,465.43; a Truist money market $190,290.79; a merchant account $75,491.04; and Truist checking $462,962.74. The treasurer said total income for July through December 2025 was $2,539,950.38 and expenditures were $1,812,441.36, producing the reported surplus. The treasurer added that total bills presented for council review totaled $224,017.67 and noted a $127,350 annual pension payment contributed to the bills.
The treasurer’s report was presented “subject to audit,” and council did not vote on the report itself during the public portion. The presentation accompanied other departmental reports (code enforcement, public works, and the police report) and will feed into FY2027 budget planning, which the moderator reminded members is beginning.
