Mackinac County commissioners approve annual equalization report and L-4029

The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday, April 21 to approve the county's annual equalization report and state form L-4029, after the county's Equalization Director joined the hearing by phone to answer commissioners' questions.

Chair Mike Patrick called the public hearing to order at 4:15 p.m. in the Annex Boardroom at 100 S. Marley Street in St. Ignace. Roll call showed Commissioners Austin Kimberling, John Kling, Mike Patrick, Daryl Schroeder and Judy St. Louis-Scott present. Commissioner Austin Kimberling moved to approve the meeting agenda as presented; Commissioner Daryl Schroeder seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.

No members of the public spoke during the public comment portion of the hearing. The annual Equalization report and the state reporting form L-4029 were presented for approval; the county's Equalization Director appeared by speaker phone to respond to questions from commissioners.

Commissioner Daryl Schroeder moved to approve the Equalization report and L-4029; Commissioner Judy St. Louis-Scott seconded. A roll-call vote recorded all five commissioners -- Kimberling, Kling, Patrick, Schroeder and St. Louis-Scott -- voting yes; no commissioners voted no. The public hearing was adjourned at 4:24 p.m. after a motion by Commissioner St. Louis-Scott and a second from Commissioner Kimberling.
