Resolution 26‑22 appropriated funds to nonprofit charitable organizations for fiscal year 2026–27, with a line‑item total that included $53,000 distributed among local nonprofits (Hickman County senior citizens, Women Are Safe, Hickman Humane Society and the 32nd District Child Advocacy Center) and $160,680 to the Hickman County Fire Association. Resolution 26‑23 made general appropriations for county funds for the coming fiscal year; both measures passed on roll call.
The commission also approved Resolution 26‑29 to authorize issuance of debt to finance approximately $400,000 in school capital projects. Commissioner Giannakos said the intent is to complete the projects and retire the loan next budget year using budgeted funds. That resolution passed by roll call (12 yes, 2 absent).
