Commissioners also accepted a proposal to acquire a used fire truck for the County Farm District, using budgeted funds supplemented by American Recovery Act funds; the motion was made by Commissioner Sarah Boatright and seconded by Commissioner Daryl Edwards.
The Appling County Sheriff’s Office presented a quote for a full-body scanner system, and Gene Davis provided details during the meeting. Commissioners agreed to table the matter until a live demonstration of the machine can be scheduled and reviewed.
