Laura Severs, Woodbury County secondary roads engineer, read the snowmobile resolution designating K‑64 and 140th Street from Iowa 140 west 0.75 miles to the South Field entrance as a designated snowmobile trail for Jan. 14–Dec. 31, 2026. The resolution requires Powder Players Inc. to provide and maintain warning signage, submit proof of insurance within 15 days of passage, and hold Woodbury County harmless for injuries or damages. "All designations and signs to be erected along said trail for use of club members shall be provided by the Powder Players Inc.," Severs said.
Severs also read resolutions delegating temporary road‑closure authority to the county engineer under the county’s authority and authorizing the engineer to execute completion certifications for federal, state and farm‑to‑market projects on the county’s behalf; the board approved both measures 5-0.
On equipment procurement, Severs reported three competitive quotes for FY2027 tandem truck chassis; Truck Center of Fairmont, Minnesota, submitted the low bid of $166,285 and county staff recommended awarding to that firm. The board approved the award 5-0.
The resolutions include administrative conditions (insurance proofs and signage obligations) and require county staff follow-up to ensure documentation is filed.
