Tisbury Conservation Commission reviews enforcements, grants, CPC nomination and administrative items

At its June 16 meeting the Tisbury Conservation Commission reviewed enforcement and administrative business across several properties and programs.
Enforcement orders: Staff reported outstanding enforcement orders for 40 Cronig Avenue (unauthorized placement of mulch and smothering of native coastal bank vegetation) and 30 Cronig Avenue; neither property owner has submitted documents to rectify the violations. Enforcement orders for 58 and 68 Bishops Cove Way were reported as sent via certified mail but the commission has not yet received return receipts.
Certificate of Compliance: Conservation Agent Sean Young reported that he issued a Certificate of Compliance for 57 Hines Point (Order of Conditions 74‑286) for a completed stone retaining wall project.
Grant update: Sean Young said he is coordinating with the Department of Transportation and UNH stormwater director James Houle on redoing the Beach Road Extension outfall pipe as part of ongoing grant work.
Committee nomination and administrative approvals: John Best offered to continue as the Conservation Commission representative to the Community Preservation Committee. Sarah Toste moved to approve John Best as the representative; Caroline Little seconded and the motion passed unanimously. An administrative approval was issued for removal of a dead cherry tree at 72 Hvoslef Way following a site visit.
Minutes and adjournment: The commission approved the minutes of June 2, 2026; Thomas Robinson, John Best, Caroline Little, Sarah Toste and David Reed voted in favor, and Lilian Robinson abstained. Sarah Toste moved to adjourn; John Best seconded and the meeting adjourned at 4:57 p.m. The next scheduled meeting is July 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
