Board told Castor Falls will remain privately owned and closed to public access

The conservation easement related to the project has been signed; the stewardship agreement has not been signed. The board requested additional information from staff before taking further action.
Minutes show President Roy Schwickerath signed a deed connected to the project and that the deed has been filed. Board members discussed fees associated with the project. After presenting proposed rules and regulations to the board of supervisors, supervisors requested changes before the county will set a date for a first reading of the rules.
The board did not adopt any policy or sign the stewardship agreement at this meeting and directed staff to seek further details about ownership, access restrictions and stewardship terms.
