The Town of Beaverdam board met March 11 and approved a series of routine administrative actions, including the previous meeting minutes and payment of the town’s bills.
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. A motion by Liz Kern, seconded by Jesse Hankes, approved the Feb. 11, 2025 meeting minutes and carried unanimously. Treasurer Nicole Banes reported account balances of $429,803 in checking, $284,413 in a money market account and $27,402 in money market reserves; total cash on hand without the outstanding loan of $1,144,728 was $741,601.
During the clerk’s report, a motion by Joe Kern, seconded by Dave Raue, approved Brenda Gollnick’s bartender license for the 6th Gear venue; the motion carried unanimously. Later the board approved payment of bills totaling $58,551.42 on a motion by Liz Kern, seconded by Dave Raue, carried unanimously. The board then voted to adjourn at 8:21 p.m.
Other administrative notes in the minutes: the old squad car was sold for $4,300; the town noted that waste hauler GFL has purchased LRS and residents should expect new trucks and new bin stickers as the contract transitions; and the annual town meeting is scheduled for April 15, 2025, at 7 p.m. No formal votes or conditions attached to those notices were recorded in these minutes.
The board’s next procedural items on the agenda include continuing draft revisions to Chapter 10 code language and further discussion in April of an undeveloped road referenced in the Schoenfeld’s Woodland plat from 1943.
