City Manager Rudometkin presented a finalized settlement agreement for maintenance jurisdiction over a specified section of Jetport Avenue and thanked county counsel and administrators for their collaboration.
Attorney Langley told the council that Council approval would initiate formal resolution of the dispute but formal execution of the settlement requires approval by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. Commissioner Beth Lowell moved to approve the settlement as written and terminated upon final approval by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. Commissioner Ed Gold seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 6–0.
Staff described the effect of the agreement as transferring ongoing maintenance responsibility for the identified roadway segment to the County pending County approval. No additional funding commitments or implementation dates were recorded in the minutes; staff noted the settlement would close the dispute after both parties ratify the agreement.
