Harlan Johnson said the Minong Lakes Committee has transferred into a new organization named the Minong Area Lake Alliance and noted new board members for the alliance.
Johnson also presented results from the 2025 Clean Boat Clean Water inspections covering eight lakes. He told the board that the Minong Flowage recorded 4,501 inspections during times inspectors were present and that inspectors did not observe repeat boaters in that sample; he clarified these figures reflect launches when inspectors were on duty and are not the total number of launches.
Clerk/Treasurer Susan Conaway told the board a Transfer Station Municipality Workgroup meeting with three municipal boards will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m. at the Village; others may attend but will not be heard at that meeting and a potential quorum notice will be posted.
The board did not take formal action on the reorganization or the inspection results during the meeting; Johnson’s announcement and the transfer-station meeting notice were informational.
