The Lonedell R-14 School Board approved its consent agenda and a range of personnel, pay-scale and contract items at the Feb. 17 meeting.
The consent agenda — including approval of minutes from January 26, January 30 and Feb. 6 committee meetings — and payment of bills totaling $236,225.43 (reviewed by Jonathan Taylor and Cody Causey) were approved unanimously after a motion from Cody Causey.
Reports from Principal Shannon Banderman, Superintendent Dr. Monica Hiatt, Finance Officer Stephanie York and curriculum staff were approved by motion of Justin Bailey. The board approved KVC Academy Cuba as a special education private separate placement and approved a contract amendment with Babbling Brook Pediatric Therapy, LLC for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year.
The board authorized posting a cleaning-services bid request and an ECSE/Special Education Transportation Services bid request. Members also approved a job posting for a Speech-Language Pathologist for 2026–27.
On compensation, the board approved the 2026–27 certified salary schedule (base pay $40,200; unfreeze steps; remove BS+24 and MS+32 columns; add $1,000 benchmark bonus to step 30). The board also approved the 2026–27 classified pay scale (47-cent increase to hourly columns) and the 2026–27 transportation pay scale (20-cent increase to step 1). All motions were recorded as carrying unanimously.
The minutes do not list dollar amounts for the Babbling Brook amendment or sources of funds for pay-scale increases; where the transcript lists a garbled year code ('25126') the minutes indicate this refers to the 2025–26 school year.
