City Building Inspector Curt Demlow presented three proposed amendments to Marinette Municipal Code during the March 4 meeting and commissioners voted to recommend Common Council approval of each. The first would amend MMC Article XXXVII (Fences, Retaining Walls and Hedges) to allow issuance of citations for fences in disrepair. The second would add definitions to MMC 465-318 for Animal Hospital, Animal Shelter/Pound and Veterinary Clinic. The third would add Animal Hospital/Veterinary Clinic to the list of conditional uses in MMC 465-103.
Commissioners moved, seconded and concurred to recommend the Common Council approve all three amendments; the minutes record unanimous concurrence but do not include the exact ordinance language or a roll-call vote. The items will proceed to the Common Council for final action.
