The Town of Minong Board voted May 11 to send a letter informing residents that the town’s nuisance ordinance remains in effect and will be reviewed at the board’s June 8 meeting.
Dean Patrick said the nuisance ordinance has not been enforced in a long time and that the town should restart enforcement and reconsider the ordinance’s wording and penalty schedule. The board approved sending a notice and reviewing the ordinance at the June meeting (motion by Dean Patrick, second by Linda Featherly; all in favor).
No change to penalties or enforcement timelines was adopted on May 11; the board directed that ordinance language and timing of penalties be examined at the June review.
