After reconvening in open session, Dean Patrick moved to accept Conaway’s resignation; Linda Featherly seconded and the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
The board did not release details about the closed session or provide a public explanation of the reasons for the resignation. Susan Conaway, clerk/treasurer, attended the closed session at the request of a board member, the minutes state.
The board adjourned the meeting at 8:24 p.m. and scheduled its next regular meeting for 6 p.m. on June 8, 2026; several postponed items, including a review of the nuisance ordinance, are on that agenda.
