Minong board approves operator licenses, updates signers and committee assignments; clerk to draft pro‑tem resolution

The Minong Town Board on April 21 approved three operator licenses for a newly opened establishment, reorganized committee assignments, updated bank signers and directed the clerk to prepare a pro‑tem resolution.

Clerk/Treasurer Susan Conaway reported that three operator license applications were submitted; two applicants already held licenses and one application listed an incorrect birth year (2026) on the paperwork. The clerk said the police background check contained the correct birth date. Dean Patrick moved to accept the operator licenses provided the applicant listed as "individual 001" is of legal age; Joe Radzak seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

Committee reassignments were recorded: Dean Patrick will sit on the Transfer Station and Road committees (with Christine Holland on the Road Committee); David Conaway and Linda Featherly will serve on the Police Committee; Joe Radzak will serve on the Fire and Ambulance Committee.

On bank signers, Joe Radzak moved to set authorized signers as David Conaway, Linda Featherly, Susan Conaway and Rhonda Kellen; Christine Holland seconded. The vote was recorded as four ayes with Linda Featherly abstaining; the motion carried.

On the pro‑tem question, the clerk reported that past practice and the town paperwork indicate Supervisor 1 typically chairs meetings; the clerk will draft a resolution to create a formal pro‑tem position for consideration at the May meeting.
