During the public-comment portion of the Sept. 16 meeting, Council President Riley Cross said he had spoken with Lance Greer and that Greer would not be accepting any money from the civil case against Hometown Heroes. Bev Ballog, speaking for Hometown Heroes, thanked the borough for its support of the project and said she was pleased to hear Greer would not be taking money from the case.
Council President Cross later reiterated that the borough is not connected to Hometown Heroes but is supportive of the cause. There was no formal action or vote related to the matter during the meeting.
